Who We Are
Walnut Forest Academy is a nature-based microschool. It is nestled in the quaint township of Eden Mills, ON, a charming community surrounded by walking trails, waterways, farmland, and forests. Walnut Forest Academy was established in 2023 by Dr. Traci L. Scheepstra, Ph.D. an award-winning educator with over thirty years of experience in teaching and learning.
What We Offer
- Experiential, hands-on, arts-integrated and land-based learning for K-Grade 3 (expanding yearly to Grade 8)
- Full-time and Part-time options (5, 3, or 2 days per week)
- Small class sizes: ratio 1:8
- Wild Wednesdays (full-day immersive learning in nature)
- Highly qualified educators
